I think it might be nice to be able to comment on an exception or stack.6 votes
This is definitely something that we want to add as well.
I would like a way to limit application access by team within an organization (billing) container, similar to how Raygun handles access. This is the only area of theirs I like better than Exceptionless, but it's a big deal if I'm to start using this with a lot of projects. I can't let some contractor developers see everything, and it won't be cost effective to have many organizations in the long run.4 votes
It would be nice to change the project id based on namespace. We have several large shared projects, that get included in a variety of solutions. As it is, the project id is set at the SLN config, and I'm sure we could even program it at runtime.
But i'm more looking for something on the exceptionless side, that recognizes common namespaces in multiple projects, and with some sort of rules engine, would move the exception appropriately.4 votes
this let's me customize where the notifications are sent.4 votes
It would be nice to be able to add custom rules for projects to say things like:
When an error occurs that has its user agent set to "spider" then discard the error.
When a new error occurs call this webhook.
When an error regresses send a text message to this number.
When an error happens with "order" in its URL then mark it as critical.9 votes
We have implemented support for web hooks and Zapier. Zapier is a service that allows you to integrate with over 200 services in a very easy manor. We would still like to have the ability to have custom rules on our end that allow you to do things like discard or mark as critical though.
It would be great if you add RSS / Atom feed with a list of new features and changes to the service. It would allow us to always be aware of the changes you make.
For example Amazon has similar feeds for their services:9 votes
This would be on the Exception stack page where I see total occurrences, first occurrence, and last occurrence. In the "Options" button fly-out menu, Id like to be able to both "Hide From Reports" and "Disable Notifications" with a single action. Right now it takes me four clicks to do both.1 vote
At the top of the Project dashboard, you list Total and Unique Exceptions. I would like to be able to click These Values, and have the list of exceptions filter to only show me the related entities.
For Uniques, I only want to see the topmost or parent exception, not all it's children.
This view is much less cluttered, and easier to manage.1 vote
We have several products and each of them have multiple environments (dev, demo, pre-production, production). For each product in each environment we create a separate project so in case of just 4 products the number of projects reches 16. All of them shown in a plain dropdown list on dashboard that is difficult to navigate. Would be really cool if we were able to group the projects one way or another and so the projects are displayed grouped in the dropdown. In Insight we've been using tags for this purpose.10 votes
We have been thinking about this as well. I’d like to come up with some sort of elegant solution for the multiple environments thing. One possibility is that we give the ability to specify an environment string in the config and that would basically just add a tag to the errors, then in the admin UI you would be able to filter by tags.
