Timeline graph click through

When viewing timeline graph I need to be able to click on that a day and filter the dashboard to chow exceptions for this day only.

Do you think more needs to be done in this case as we already have a chart selection. It could be hard to select a day in the chart because it could be for many time segments in a day. We always do have the date selection tool as well for selecting a date.

To some approximation, you can do that now, although it may take a bit of experimenting.

As you move your mouse over the timeline chart, you will see a "balloon" displayed in the chart showing the date and number of exceptions. There is also a faint vertical line displayed for the date boundary closest to your mouse cursor. If you click the left mouse button at about the start date that you want, hold the mouse button down (the cursor will become a crosshair/plus-sign) and then drag to the right until you reach the date boundary that you want for the end date; then release the mouse button - the chart will change to show just that date range.
