I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Please implement search feature

If a user send us an error report and then tells us in our support site that they send us the report, it is really hard to find their report as you can't search by the user name.

    • Document which Exceptionless files to include in a Visual Studio project

After using NuGet to install Exceptionless in a Visual Studio project several weeks ago, it wasn't clear from any of your documentation which files I should include/exclude in the project and/or which files to check in to source control so that other developers working on the same Visual Studio project would have the same Exceptionless environment.

We are working with ASP.NET Web Forms projects in Visual Studio 2013. When I first set up Exceptionless, I decided to include (and check in) the packages.config file at the project top level, and 3 Exceptionless DLL and 3 Exceptionless XML files in the…

      • Mongodb files growing

I have installed Exceptionless and hosted it on one of our servers.

Its running like a dream but I just wanted some advice with regards to the files being created by Mongodb.

Inside the mongodb / data / db folder I have seen it create files that are getting bigger, currently around 2GB.

We have only a handful of exceptions registered in the test the system so i was a little concerned. As drive has only 16gb of space. I have setup 2 organisations under which there are 4 projects in one org and 1 project in the other org…

You can currently submit a comment about the error occurrence before sending the error on the client (Please see the wpf integration/mvc sample in github). We will also be allowing you to click on a link to email someone back if they provided you an email address. However, we have no intention of creating email / feedback integration that was in Insight as that is out of the scope of exception management. We are trying to make the product very simple to use and be very good at just one thing.

          • Apikey one to one mapping?

            Hi

Can you explain how the 'My Projects' feature works. I assumed it was a way to separate out the exception tracking for each application but I can only get it to work if the apikey is the same in the server web.config and the client app.config. If I want to track a different application 'Project' I have to update the server web.config. In doing so it stops recording the exceptions of the first 'Project'. I have looked at the documentation but I can't find anything about the relationships between the apikeys. Is it a one to one mapping.

            An…

A project should be thought of as an application instead of project(s) that make up an application. We recommend having multiple projects per application (Example: Project1, Project1 – Dev, Project1 – Staging). You would control this via setting the api key via compiler directives or config transforms.

              • Usage of custom URLs

It would be nice that we be able to use custom URLs. All that should have to be done, once you give us the IP address, for us to add an A or C name in our DNS to point to your server. After which, it should be able to handle the url header quite seamlessly.

                • Ability to delete stacks / errors

I see an exception, like a 404 on favicon. nice. thx for letting me know. I fixed it.

What about /asdf and /whatever. I'm not fixing them, I just want to delete them.
