Need to have an ability to provide an easy report on errors fixed.
Current summary report is a step in right direction, but can't be sent to client. Ideally it should have:
- Visual graph similar to dashboard showing:
- New Exceptions received this weeks
- Total Exceptions receivedthis week
- Total unsolved exceptions
- Exception fixes this week
- Total fixed exception
- Retain error stats "forever" to provide historical report
- Ability to generate this report for specific period via UI
Do you think this would be project level for creating a report? How do you see yourself creating the report and specifying the criteria for date ranges?
We are doing a major api refactor in the pcl branch right now that is will allow us to implement search and do many more things like analytics / logging etc.
Currently, any existing form values and cookie values are logged for an exception. It would be helpful if Session variable values could also be logged.
(I understand that Session variables are not necessarily good practice, but we still have a few legacy Session variables in our applications that we have not yet removed in refactoring or re-working.)1 vote
We agree that this should be included with the error report if it exists. However, we feel it should be opt in with a configuration setting.
Would you be willing to submit a pull request for this?
When you catch 'System.Reflection.TypeLoadException', the serialized information is not very useful and says "Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information."
It would be nice to have the "LoaderExceptions" property analyzed and sent as extended data with the exception so it would display in the report.1 vote
I’ll add this to our task list.
When showing a list of stacks/issues, I would like to see an indicator of whether or not the issue has been marked as fixed so I don't have to dig into each issue to view it. Alternatively you could have a view option to filter out fixed items.
We like this idea and have added it to our todo list.
I think it might be nice to be able to comment on an exception or stack.6 votes
This is definitely something that we want to add as well.
It would be nice to be able to add custom rules for projects to say things like:
When an error occurs that has its user agent set to "spider" then discard the error.
When a new error occurs call this webhook.
When an error regresses send a text message to this number.
When an error happens with "order" in its URL then mark it as critical.9 votes
We have implemented support for web hooks and Zapier. Zapier is a service that allows you to integrate with over 200 services in a very easy manor. We would still like to have the ability to have custom rules on our end that allow you to do things like discard or mark as critical though.
It would be great if you add RSS / Atom feed with a list of new features and changes to the service. It would allow us to always be aware of the changes you make.
For example Amazon has similar feeds for their services:9 votes
At the top of the Project dashboard, you list Total and Unique Exceptions. I would like to be able to click These Values, and have the list of exceptions filter to only show me the related entities.
For Uniques, I only want to see the topmost or parent exception, not all it's children.
This view is much less cluttered, and easier to manage.1 vote
